Mr Bernard Griffiths

Honorary Senior Fellow

Bernard's vision is to guide, facilitate and support learning organisations to achieve improved outcomes. Achievement is through both his own consultancy business "Dripstone" and a number of senior career assignments. Bernard is a management practitioner at heart with strong cross industry experience.

His management approach brings an applied sense of academic rigour and discipline, drawn through a Masters of Business from the Australian Graduate School of Management.

At a strategic and operational level, a depth of knowledge and skills comes from over 25 years of managing hospitals and healthcare services, working with boards and with direct responsibility for strategy, service budgets, associated staffing and infrastructure responsibilities.

A contemporary knowledge of improving performance strategies has been and is still being continually honed through over 20 years of surveying, evaluating and advising private, public and not for profit organisations nationally. His training as an ISO 9000 external auditor and his experience as a Coordinating Surveyor for the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards and an External Aged Care Assessor compliment and enhance his knowledge of quality and risk management systems and contemporary business practice.

Providing services to large and small clients across Tasmania for the last twenty-two years has shown Bernard's capacity to appropriately tailor services to the size and nature of business and market. He has had international exposure through study tours and research in the US, Canada and New Zealand. In 2001 he also provided consultancy services in the US based on previous achievements for a local mutinational.

The most recent key project was the transformation of the risk management and audit portfolio at University of Tasmania, Australia, which included a commendation from TEQSA for risk management.
