Dr Muyesser Durur

Previously Director of the Port Macquarie Campus, she has led the establishment of the new campus with strong community engagement to become a vibrant part of the region. She has held senior positions at La Trobe University, the Department of Education and Training New South Wales (NSW) and with a Doctor of High Performance Teams and Transformational Leadership in Vocational Education at the University of New England, Australia.

Muyesser has extensive experience in change management, leadership, business strategy and capacity building, strategic human resource management and community engagement across public sector, tertiary education community and business organisations. In executive roles, Muyesser has developed and directed programs that have significantly shifted strategic direction and delivered transformational change. 

Muyesser Durer is a Fellow of The Australian Institute of Company Directors and of The Australian Human Resources Institute. She is the president of YWCA Victoria and Co-Founder and a Patrol of Luminosity Youth Summit. She is passionate about education's power to transform lives and extends this to the not-for-profit sector, with a focus on youth, women, tertiary education and health.

An acclaimed academic, Muyesser has published internationally on issues such as workplace gender perspectives, inclusiveness and cultural awareness in an educational context.  Many of her programs have won industry awards, including the 2013 NSW Business Chamber Regional Business Excellence Award in Business Innovation for her work at Charles Sturt University.
