Free event but RSVP required
This forum, jointly hosted by the TDC and LH Martin Institute, is for leaders and managers in the VET/TAFE sector.
The importance of developing and maintaining appropriate industry currency for VET practitioners has been a feature in recent research and publications and it is also a requirement to ensure compliance with AQTF Standard 1.4. But what it means and how it is best practiced is part of the continuing debate amongst educators, industry bodies and learners.
In this two hour forum, moderated by Berwyn Clayton, Director of Work-based Education Research Centre (WERC) at Victoria University, our speakers will address the issues surrounding industry currency from their different perspectives.
Speakers

Prof Erica Smith – Program Coordinator - Associate Degree Training & Assessment, University of Ballarat

John Churchill – Executive Officer, Enterprise Registered Training Organisation Australia (ERTOA)

Geoff Gwilym – CEO, Auto Skills Australia
After the presentations there will be an opportunity for the audience to discuss and debate the topic with the speakers, enabling a lively and constructive discussion.
